Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Edward Hendrie uses God’s word to strip the sheep’s clothing from false Christian ministers and expose them as ravening wolves preaching an anti-gospel. The anti-gospel is based on a myth that all men have a will that is free from the bondage of sin to choose whether to believe in Jesus. The Holy Bible, however, states that all men are spiritually dead and cannot believe in Jesus unless they are born again of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:1-7; John 3:3-8. God has chosen his elect to be saved by his grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3-9; 2:8-10. God imbues his elect with the faith needed to believe in Jesus. Hebrews 12:2; John 1:12-13. The devil’s false gospel contradicts the word of God and reverses the order of things. Under the anti-gospel, instead of a sovereign God choosing his elect, sovereign man decides whether to choose God. The calling of the Lord Jesus Christ is effectual; all who are chosen for salvation will believe in Jesus. John 6:37-44. The anti-gospel has a false Jesus, who only offers the possibility of salvation, with no assurance. The anti-gospel blasphemously makes God out to be a liar by denying the total depravity of man and the sovereign election of God. All who preach that false gospel are under a curse from God. Galatians 1:6-9.

Drawing on his extensive knowledge of Liverpool, Francis Kenny reveals the real John Lennon who preceded the legend, showing how his childhood shaped his personality, creative process, and path to success, and how it also destroyed his mental health, leading to the downfall of one of the most confident and brilliant musicians of the past century. The Making of John Lennon is a must-read for any Beatles fan. It explains how Lennon’s turbulent family background affected his relationships, why the true inspiration for “Strawberry Fields” could not be revealed, how Pete Best's college connection led to his removal from the group, and why class backgrounds were the real reason for the breakup of the legendary band. Offering a complex portrait of Lennon’s early life, The Making of John Lennon tells the true story behind the rise of the legendary icon.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you want to stir up some fond memories of the 1960's and The Beatles? Whether you've experienced this phenomenal period known as the 60's first hand or not, this book called History with the Beatles will cast your mind back into the past and take you on a "Magical Mystery Tour" through the highlights of world history intertwined with the highlights of Beatles history between the period of 1960-1971, including relevant tidbits, facts, fads, statistics, trends, personalities, winners, losers, etc., that defined those given years. This in-depth, 390 page chronological timeline book is a new and different attempt to unravel the Beatles story - with the added dimension of world history also included - in order to reflect what was happening in the 60's world history as the Beatles were making their own history. This book is extremely interesting in this regard alone! The Beatles soared to unbelievable heights against incredible odds, and then, somehow, just as they reached their peak, they seemed to come apart at the wheels! Why? How? When? This book attempts to let the actual facts and events of the Beatles as they happened in actual history help answer some of these questions and more, as the reader re-visits some of the most incredible historical events of the 60's including the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam War, putting a man on the moon for the first time, the JFK, MLK, and RFK assassinations, race riots, Cold War, Civil Rights Act, Woodstock, campus unrest, the Kent State tragedy, etc. History cannot be complete without the Beatles, and the Beatles story cannot be complete without history. This is an in-depth look at both. A "must have" book, for any Beatlemaniac! BRADFORD E. "BUSTER" LOKER was born in Cut Off, Louisiana, on April 21, 1964. His lifelong passion as a Beatlemaniac is only exceeded by his love for God, his wife Bonnie, and beautiful children Madison, Matthew, and Miles. They currently live in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He has been an appraiser of real estate for the past 25 years. This is his first book.

Download and Read Dylan, Lennon, Marx and God PDF by Jon Stewart Full Book and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2021-12-09 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bob Dylan and John Lennon are two of the most iconic names in popular music. Dylan is arguably the twentieth century's most important singer-songwriter. Lennon was founder and leader of the Beatles who remain, by some margin, the most covered songwriters in history. While Dylan erased the boundaries between pop and poetry, Lennon and his band transformed the genre's creative potential. The parallels between the two men are striking but underexplored. This book addresses that lack. Jon Stewart discusses Dylan's and Lennon's relationship; their politics; their understanding of history; and their deeply held spiritual beliefs. In revealing how each artist challenged the restrictive social norms of their day, the author shows how his subjects asked profound moral questions about what it means to be human and how we should live. His book is a potent meditation and exploration of two emblematic figures whose brilliance changed Western music for a generation.

Book excerpt: Jonathan Gould's Can't Buy Me Love is more than just a book on the Beatles; it's a stunning recreation of the 1960s in England and America through the prism of the world's most iconic band. The Beatles, perhaps more than any act before or since, were a quintessential product of their time, and Gould brilliantly blends cultural history, musical analysis and group biography to show the unique part they played in the shaping of post-war Britain and America. Gould examines the influence of R&B, rockabilly, skiffle and Motown as the Fab Four forged a sound of their own; he illuminates the mercurial relationship the most productive and lucrative in recording music history between John Lennon and Paul McCartney; he critiques the songs they played and the movies they made, and their impact on competing bands and musicians, as well as on fashion, hairstyles, and humour; and he shows how events on both sides of the Atlantic created exactly the right cultural climate for the biggest music phenomenon of 20th century. Beautifully written, insightful, and wonderfully evocative, this is a magisterial biography by a popular historian of the very first rank.
